Thank you for your suggestion I'm hesitant to disconnect the battery, as I'm concerned about causing further issues with the car's computer systems Is there a risk of losing important vehicle settings if I do that Also, how long should I disconnect it for I am really not familiar with these modern automotive systems

Losing car configuration Possibly But it's also possible it fixes it Honestly, seeing as it's a new car to you and acting up, I'd just take it to a shop and have them sort it Less headache

I appreciate your candor I took your advice and brought it to a trusted mechanic Turns out, you were correct it was indeed in transport mode They were able to deactivate it using their diagnostic tools The repair was covered, so the eventual repair cost was 0€ Thank you for pointing me in the right direction

Transport mode Sounds like a car configuration issue I had something similar on my GLK Did you try disconnecting the battery for a bit Sometimes that clears things up
