GLK Engine Overheating Issue

Thanks for the quick reply! My overheating is intermittent, and I suspect the motor isn't running consistently. I visually inspected the connector, but maybe not well enough. Are there tests to confirm a connection problem before replacing the fan?

My problem was nearly identical. The temperature control system would occasionally fail, leading to overheating. Given the risk of further engine damage, I would recommend consulting a qualified mechanic to diagnose the electric motor and electrical connections. It might save you money in the long run.

I had the vehicle inspected, and you were right! It was a faulty connector to the fan motor. The repair cost 95€ for parts and labor. Thanks again for your help!

I also drive a GLK and had similar overheating issues. Have you checked the fan motor's electrical connector for corrosion or damage? A faulty connection there can definitely cause intermittent fan operation.
