GLK Fog Sensor and Climate Control Issues

I have a 2009 Mercedes GLK with a gasoline engine and about 289686 km on it. I'm getting a fog sensor error, and it's causing a cascade of problems. The AC won't kick on, the windshield washer nozzles freeze up when it's cold, and the mirror heating is dead. I'm suspecting a bad connection somewhere, has anyone else run into something like this with the climate control and car sensor systems? Is sensor calibration a possible cause?

Sounds familiar. Is your humidity sensor acting up too? I had similar issues with my GLK. Have you checked the wiring harness near the sensor itself? That's where my problem was.

The humidity sensor... good question. I didn't specifically check that. Where exactly is the humidity sensor located? And was it a corroded connector, or a broken wire in your case?

Yes, humidity sensor was the culprit in my case. It's usually near the base of the rearview mirror, behind the plastic cover. I'd say just take it to the workshop. They'll diagnose it properly. It was indeed a corroded connector.

Appreciate the confirmation. Took it to a workshop, and you were right. Corroded connector on the humidity sensor wiring. They cleaned it up, and everything's working again. Total cost was 95€.
