GLK Sun Blind Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Mercedes GLK diesel has a sun blind issue where it is stuck and won't retract, with an error fault stored. The problem is likely due to a defective sunblind motor, a known weakness in this model. The recommended solution is to have the motor replaced at a workshop to prevent interior sun damage.

Yes, it's completely jammed. Did you replace the motor yourself or have it done? If you had it done, how much did it cost?

I went to a workshop. I wasn't brave enough to tackle the car interior trim myself. They said it was a common fault. Labor plus parts came to around 330€. It's best to get it resolved to avoid sun damage.

Thanks for the information! It sounds like I'm going to the shop. It's good to know what to expect in terms of cost. I appreciate the help.

That sounds familiar. The GLK car sunshade does have a known weakness. Is it completely jammed? Mine acted up the same way, error code and all. The motor for the car blind is probably failing. It is annoying because it affects UV protection for the car interior.
