GLS Anti Theft System Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2019 GLS with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues with its anti-theft system, where the car alarm goes off randomly, and errors appear in the system memory. The problem might be linked to the alarm control module, possibly due to a glitch related to the optical locking setting. Recoding the alarm control unit resolved the issue.

Battery seems fine, voltage is good. The error memory points to the alarm system itself. It seems coded for optical locking (indicators). Could that be a factor in triggering a false alarm or complete car alarm failure?

Optical locking, interesting. Mine wasn't related to that setting, but I still suspect a power failure might be the cause, even with a good voltage. In my case, the alarm control module itself was faulty. I'd recommend getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop. They can pinpoint the exact cause.

I did as you suggested and took it in. Turns out the alarm control unit had a glitch related to the optical locking setting, as suspected. Recoding it fixed the issue. Cost me 45€.

I had a similar problem with my GLS. The car alarm kept going off randomly, and I got errors in the system memory too. Have you checked the car battery? A weak battery can cause all sorts of weird issues with the electronics, especially the immobilizer.
