GLS Hybrid Powertrain Fault

I am experiencing a powertrain malfunction with my 2020 Mercedes GLS hybrid. The vehicle has 115879 km. The transfer case seems to be in limp mode, accompanied by gearbox slippage and unclean shifts. I suspect consequential faults originating from the ABS system, given some fault codes I retrieved. Has anyone encountered similar issues?

Oh man, that sounds rough! I had something similar happen with my GLS, though it's an older model, same brand. I remember the feeling, like the car was trying to run through treacle! My issue turned out to be a dodgy control module messing with everything. Did your fault codes point to anything specific? It's like a domino effect, one thing goes wrong and bam, limp home mode!

Thank you for your response. The fault codes do suggest a possible issue with the ABS control module affecting the transfer case control module. Could you elaborate on the specific control module that failed in your vehicle and any related fault codes you recall?

Okay, so mine was the transmission control module itself that was throwing codes, not the ABS. But, and this is a big BUT, the mechanic said it was getting weird signals because of a CAN bus issue, basically like crossed wires in your brain! Honestly, at that point, my eyes glazed over. Get it scanned by a workshop with proper Mercedes diagnostics. They'll pinpoint it way faster than we can guess here.

I appreciate the insight. It seems a professional diagnosis is indeed necessary. As it turns out, the ABS control module had indeed failed, causing consequential issues with the transfer case control module and triggering limp mode. Fortunately, the repair was covered under an extended warranty, resulting in no cost to me. Thank you again.
