Hello, thanks for your input. Phew, the control unit sounds pretty hefty. Do you remember what you paid for the complete repair? And has anything else come up since then, or is everything running smoothly now? Thank you!

Hey, yes, that was a really bad story with the control unit. But since the visit to the mechanic, everything has fortunately been running smoothly again. As far as the costs are concerned, I can tell you that repairing the cable connection from the antenna cost exactly €295. So all in all, everything is fine. I hope you get your problem sorted soon!

Thanks for the info, that gives me courage. Yes, I also hope that it won't be too expensive. These recurring car repairs are really getting on my nerves, I'll make an appointment with a mechanic. Thanks again for your help!

Hi! I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing GPS troubles. I've had a similar issue before in the past and it turned out to be the antenna. Have you tried checking the antenna connection? Also, where are you located? Maybe I can recommend a good mechanic nearby.

Hey, I can understand what you're going through. I have a 2010 Skoda Octavia that had similar problems. Back then it was the Bluetooth reception, but the symptoms sound similar. It was ultimately the control unit that was causing the trouble. In the end it was necessary to completely replace a cable. Hopefully your problem isn't that serious. Take it to a mechanic who does good work. Hope it all gets resolved quickly for you!
