Grace Blower Motor Failure

I'm having a weird issue with my 2021 Honda Grace hybrid. The fresh air blower isn't working at all. I've checked the fuses, but no luck. The blower motor just refuses to spin, and there's an error code that points towards the blower motor being defective. It's driving me nuts, especially with the weather! Has anyone experienced anything similar? Before I shell out what I'm expecting will be around 365€, I would like to hear if there are any other possible causes.

Summary of the thread

The 2021 Honda Grace hybrid is experiencing a non-functional fresh air blower, with an error code indicating a defective blower motor. Despite checking the fuses, the issue persists. A suggested solution is to test the blower motor directly by supplying power from the battery to confirm if it's faulty. If uncomfortable with this test, taking the car to a workshop is recommended, where the blower motor can be professionally assessed and replaced if necessary.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. The heater fan just died. I thought it was the fan speed controller at first, but after checking everything, I had to replace the blower motor itself. Same symptoms: air circulation gone, and the car was moaning about an error. Did you test the blower motor directly?

Thanks for the quick response! When you say 'test the blower motor directly', what exactly did you do? I've got a multimeter and some basic tools, but I'm no electrician. I don't want to burn down my Grace!

Okay, I didn't mean anything dangerous! I just gave the motor power directly from the battery, carefully. If it doesn't spin then, it's dead. If you're not comfortable doing that, honestly, take it to a workshop. Could save you a bigger headache. I ended up doing that anyway, and they confirmed it immediately.

Appreciate the advice! I think you're right, poking around further might just make things worse. I'll book it into the workshop and let them have a look. The workshop confirmed it was the blower motor. They replaced it, and now everything is working perfectly. Thanks again!
