Grandeur Charge Air Temperature Sensor Error

My 2009 Hyundai Grandeur diesel (126052 km) has a check engine light and feels underpowered. There's also a loud hissing noise when I accelerate. The OBD reader shows a charge air temperature sensor error. The cable and plug look okay, but has anyone else had this?

Summary of the thread

A 2009 Hyundai Grandeur diesel exhibited a check engine light, reduced power, and a loud hissing noise, with an OBD reader indicating a charge air temperature sensor error. The initial inspection showed the cable and plug appeared intact. The problem was resolved by addressing a defective cable/plug connection to the sensor, costing 95€.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

That sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Grandeur. Reduced power and a weird hissing sound. It turned out to be related to airflow. Is the air temperature sensor the same as the airflow sensor?

I'm not entirely sure if they're the same thing, but the error code specifically mentions the charge air temperature sensor. Where was the problem on your car exactly? Was it an easy fix?

Okay, might be slightly different then. My issue was definitely related to the airflow sensor. I would advise you to take your car to a professional. The error was stored in the error memory.

Thanks! I took it to the workshop, and you were right. It was a defective cable/plug connection to the charge air temperature sensor. 95€ and it's sorted!
