Grandeur damping adjustment fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Hyundai Grandeur hybrid with 36,593 km is experiencing a damping adjustment fault, indicated by a warning light and a bumpy ride. The issue is suspected to be related to the adaptive damping system, possibly due to a specific damper issue or a central control malfunction. A corroded connector on one of the dampers was identified as the cause, and cleaning and reseating the connector resolved the problem, restoring a smooth ride.

Yeah, it's consistently bumpy, regardless of the road. I took a quick look at the plugs I could easily see, but honestly, I'm not sure what I'm looking for. What kind of connections are typically dodgy on these systems?

Okay, consistent bumpiness points to a specific damper issue or a central control malfunction. I had a similar issue that turned out to be a corroded connector on one of the dampers. However, diagnosis requires specific tools. I recommend getting it checked at a workshop. Could save you a headache in the long run.

Thanks. Took your advice and brought it in. You nailed it - corroded connector on the left rear damper. They cleaned it up and re-seated everything. 95€ later, and the ride's smooth as butter again. Appreciate the help!

I've got a Grandeur too, and that adaptive damping can be a real pain. Sounds familiar. Are you experiencing a consistently bumpy ride, or does it change depending on the road surface? Have you checked the simple stuff, like the connections to the dampers?
