Grandeur fuel flap release failure
Summary of the thread
The 2023 Hyundai Grandeur Hybrid is experiencing a fuel flap release failure, with the release mechanism not functioning and an error being displayed. The issue is suspected to be related to a defective linkage or more likely, a faulty electric actuator for the fuel door. The suggested solution is to have the actuator checked and potentially replaced, which has been confirmed by another owner to resolve the issue at a cost of approximately 210€.

Good point! I'll listen next time. If it's the actuator, is that a big job? What exactly failed on yours? Did it throw any codes?

Yeah, definitely sounds like the actuator. Mine was completely dead. It's not a massive job, but fiddly. I didn't fix it myself, straight to the shop. Cost me about 210€. They mentioned a faulty lock actuator, part of the fuel door mechanism, I guess.

Thanks! Knowing it's likely the actuator and the cost is a huge help. I'll book it in. The error memory helped them locate the fault. After replacing the lock actuator, everything works. Cost me 210€, as you predicted!

I had a similar issue on my Grandeur. Sounds like the electric actuator for the fuel door might be acting up. Do you hear any sound from the fuel door area when you try to open it?
