Grandeur hybrid high voltage error

Alright Grandeur fam, I'm pulling my hair out here! Got a 2022 Hyundai Grandeur hybrid, only 28k clicks on the clock, and BAM! High-voltage system error message outta nowhere. Engine just shuts off sometimes, feels like I'm driving a dang golf cart with the reduced power. Error's stored in the memory, naturally. Anyone else seen this kinda madness? I'm suspecting the battery's had it, but what gives?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Hyundai Grandeur hybrid with 28,000 kilometers experienced a high-voltage system error, causing the engine to shut off and reduced power. The issue was suspected to be related to the battery. A similar problem in another vehicle was traced to a faulty connection in the high-voltage system, possibly due to cable damage. The solution involved taking the car to a workshop, where the battery was found to be heavily discharged and defective, leading to its replacement.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Whoa, that sounds familiar! Had almost the EXACT same thing happen in my old Volvo V60 a few years back. Different car, yeah, but same kinda symptoms: random shutdowns, power loss, and a scary battery warning light. Did you notice any weird electrical glitches before this started? Like the lights flickering or the radio cutting out? Could be electrical wiring or a system malfunction.

Flickering lights, eh? Hmmm, I did see the interior lights dimming a couple of times, come to think of it! Radio's been fine, though. So, was it the main battery in your Volvo or something else? Did you ever find out what was causing the battery to act up? Was it some EV problem or cable damage?

Yep, that's probably it! Turned out to be a faulty connection in the high-voltage system on mine, probably cable damage. Was slowly draining the battery, which eventually caused all sorts of chaos. Honestly, I'd get it to a workshop. Playing around with hybrid systems can be risky business. Get it checked out!

Cheers for the heads-up! Looks like you were spot-on. Took it to the shop, and the battery was heavily discharged and defective. Cost me 290€, but at least it's fixed. Massive thanks for sharing your experience; it definitely pointed me in the right direction! Really appreciate it!
