Grandeur Hybrid Start Stop Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Hyundai Grandeur hybrid experienced a start-stop failure where the engine would not restart automatically at lights, accompanied by a dashboard warning light. Initial checks showed no issues with fuses or shorts. Upon further investigation, it was found that the battery was heavily discharged and possibly defective. Replacing the auxiliary battery resolved the start-stop issue.

Good call! I scanned it, and it indicates the battery is heavily discharged, possibly defective. Could a bad battery really cause all these start-stop problems?

Yes, a heavily discharged or defective battery is a common cause of start-stop failures in hybrid vehicles. Get the battery tested professionally. If it's failing, replace it.

It was the auxiliary battery! 290€ later, the start-stop is working again. Thanks for the help!

I have a Grandeur hybrid and had a similar issue. Does the error memory show anything specific about the car battery voltage or state of charge?
