Grandeur power window initialization failure
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2006 Hyundai Grandeur diesel, the power windows stopped functioning, with an error indicating unsuccessful window regulator initialization. A standard window reset procedure was attempted but failed to resolve the issue. The problem was ultimately fixed by a workshop using a diagnostic tool to re-initialize the system, restoring window functionality.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yes, I attempted the standard window reset procedure (holding the switch up for a few seconds after the window closes), but it didn't work. Same error remains. Any specific tricks you remember using?

Nah, no tricks I can recall. I messed around with it for a while, tried the reset thing a bunch of times, and eventually just gave up and took it to a workshop. They re-initialized something with their diagnostic tool, and it was all good after that. Cost me a bit, unfortunately.

Thanks for confirming. I suspected as much. Looks like a trip to the workshop is in order. Ended up costing me 290€, but all windows work now!

Interesting. I had a similar problem with my Grandeur. The windows just stopped working after I disconnected the battery for some work. Did you try any sort of window reset procedure? It's usually something involving holding the window switch in a specific way.
