Summary of the thread
A 2022 Hyundai Grandeur owner experienced a seat heater failure at 87,325 km, with the heating element not generating warmth and an error code indicating a defective seat heating mat. Thanks for the quick response. I checked the fuses for the seat heating circuit, and they're fine. Did the error code you saw resemble mine? Were there any other symptoms?

That's a bummer about the fuses. I don't remember the error code, sorry. I didn't do a deep dive myself. I just took it straight to the shop. Honestly, with seat heaters, it's probably best to have a professional look at it. Could be a short somewhere that's tough to find on your own. Just my two cents!

I appreciate the input. Given the complexity, I consulted a certified Hyundai technician. It was a faulty heating mat, as suspected. The replacement cost about 390€.

Oh, I had nearly the same problem with my Grandeur! The seat just wouldn't warm up at all. I'm no mechanic, but did you check the fuses? It could be something simple like that before tearing into the seat itself.
