Optical locking, eh? That's new! How did you figure that out? And yeah, the indicators flash when locking/unlocking. Is that a definite sign?

Yes, I'm pretty sure. In my case, the indicators were flashing at every lock and unlock, and the system was also malfunctioning. If the symptoms are the same, it could be that this optical lock is causing problems. I would suggest visiting a workshop.

You're a legend! Turns out, the alarm was indeed coded to the indicators! 45€ later at the shop and it's sorted. Thanks!

I had something similar with my Grandland X, although it was a while ago. Was it coded to activate the optical locking (indicators)? That was the cause in my case. Do the indicators flash when you lock or unlock?
