Grandland X Camshaft Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Vauxhall Grandland X with a gasoline engine exhibited starting difficulties and reduced engine power, accompanied by a camshaft sensor error. The problem was suspected to be caused by a faulty camshaft sensor or possibly a dodgy cable or plug connection. Cleaning the contacts was considered, but ultimately, replacing the sensor resolved the issue, eliminating the symptoms.

Worth trying to clean the contacts on the plug? Or am I wasting my time and should I just get a new sensor?

Cleaning the contacts might help temporarily, but given the error code and symptoms, the sensor itself is likely the issue. Either way you have to go to the workshop.

Thanks for the advice. Just got back from the shop, and you were right. Faulty camshaft sensor. Replaced it and all the symptoms are gone. Cost me 95€ for parts and labor.

Camshaft sensor issues can definitely cause those symptoms. Have you checked the sensor's wiring for any obvious damage or loose connections?
