Grandland X Door Lock Failure

My 2019 Vauxhall Grandland X, gasoline engine, doors won't lock or unlock. It's like the car's forgotten it's supposed to have automatic locks! I'm guessing it's a dodgy car sensor somewhere. Anyone else had this?

I had something similar happen with my Grandland X. Check the wiring harness and plug connections to the door sensor. A defective cable or connection can manifest in those symptoms due to the door contact signal being disrupted.

Wiring harness, eh? Where exactly is that located? I'm alright with tinkering, but I don't want to go ripping the door apart without knowing what I'm doing. Do you mean the door sensor?

Yes, I am referring to the door sensor specifically. While troubleshooting, I discovered issues with the plug connection. Given that you're seeing a complete failure to lock/unlock, consulting a workshop would likely be efficient, they can quickly identify the cause.

Took your advice and went to a local garage. Turns out, you were spot on – faulty connection in the door wiring! They sorted it for 95€. Back to normal now, I really appreciate that!
