They did mention a software installation or reset might be needed. I was hoping it was something simple I could try myself, like disconnecting the battery. Did you manage to fix yours yourself, or did you have to take it somewhere?

Nah, I wouldn't mess with that stuff myself. I tried the battery thing once on another car and made things worse! Took mine straight to the workshop. Best to let them sort it; they know what they're doing with the ECU and all that.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate you sharing your experience. Looks like I'll be booking it in for a proper software installation. They quoted around 240€, so hopefully that sorts it.

Sounds familiar! I have a Grandland X too, and I had similar electrical gremlins. Error messages popping up and the infotainment acting up. Did they mention anything about a software reset or new software?
