Thanks for the reply! I did have a look at the intake manifold, and it seemed okay, but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. Where exactly should I be checking for leaks, and could a small leak really cause all these problems? And with the turbo system, what specifically should I be looking at?

It's tricky to pinpoint without proper diagnostics. When I had those symptoms, it turned out to be a defective cable or plug connection on the boost pressure sensor itself. You said you checked it, but these can be intermittent. A small leak in the intake can definitely cause those issues, but the boost sensor is cheaper to fix. It's probably best to get it checked out at a workshop, they will know what to do.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was the boost pressure sensor cable! They replaced it, and all the symptoms are gone. Cost me 95€, which is a lot less than I was expecting!

Sounds frustrating! I have a Grandland X, too, though I can't remember the exact year. I had similar symptoms: check engine light, jerking, and a hissing sound. Did you check the intake manifold for leaks? That was my first thought when I heard the whistling. Or could it also be something with the turbo system?
