Grandland X Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Vauxhall Grandland X hybrid experienced engine stalling, reduced power, and an illuminated check engine light. The suspected cause was a faulty fuel volume regulator, likely linked to the high-pressure pump. After confirming the issue, replacing the high-pressure pump resolved the problem, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Fuel pressure sensor is definitely a possibility. Where was yours located on the Volvo and how did you eventually fix it?

On my Volvo, it was located on the fuel rail, which is part of the fuel injection system supplying fuel to the engine. Because of the location and its complexity, I had a qualified mechanic replace it. It completely resolved the issue and got the car running smoothly again. I would recommend professional inspection.

Thanks! I appreciate the insights. It was indeed the high pressure pump, and the defective fuel volume regulator was the culprit. Repair cost me 1510€, but she's running smooth as butter now!

Hi there! I had similar issues with my 2018 Volvo XC60. Reduced engine power, engine stalling, and the check engine light illuminated. I took it to the workshop and their diagnostic tool pointed towards the fuel pressure sensor. From my understanding, fuel pressure sensors measures the pressure of the fuel being delivered to the engine. Have you checked that?
