Yeah, it does feel like the immobilizer. I only have the one key. What exactly was the issue with yours and what did you do to fix it? Was it expensive?

Mine acted the same way. Turned out to be a problem with the key's programming. The anti-theft system wasn't playing nice. I'd suggest you take it to a workshop, they can check the key and reprogram it if needed. Could be a quick fix.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on, it was the key programming. They re-flashed it and all is well. Cost me 45€, so not too bad!

Sounds familiar. I have a Grandland X too, though not sure if it's the hybrid model. Had a similar problem a while back. Does it feel like the immobilizer is kicking in? Like the car doesn't recognize the key? Have you tried the spare key?
