Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't checked for error codes yet. Where is the manifold flap located and is there a way to test it?

It's usually near the intake manifold, but honestly, accessing it on the Grandland X can be a pain without the right tools and knowledge. Given the symptoms, especially the hissing, and the potential complexity, I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop. A faulty intake manifold flap can cause serious problems if left unchecked.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be exactly what I suspected - a defective intake manifold flap control. The replacement cost me 465€. Runs like a dream now.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Grandland X. The hissing is a classic symptom. Have you checked for any error codes? It could be the manifold flap motor struggling to adjust the airflow correctly, leading to an incorrect fuel-air mixture. That would explain the reduced power and rough running.
