Grandland X Oxygen Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Vauxhall Grandland X owner experienced a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, with diagnostics indicating an oxygen sensor issue. The problem was suspected to be either a defective cable or plug connection or the sensor itself aging. After consulting with another owner who had a similar issue, it was determined that the problem was a defective cable connection on the upstream oxygen sensor, which was resolved at a workshop for 95€.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for the pointer! So, did you have the same error code stored in the error memory? When you say exhaust sensor, do you mean the one before or after the catalytic converter? Trying to narrow it down before I start replacing parts.

Yeah, same error code about the oxygen sensor. And yes, it turned out to be the exhaust sensor before the cat. Though, honestly, with those symptoms, I'd just take it to a workshop. Diagnosing air-fuel ratio problems can be a real headache.

Thanks, I appreciate the help! Eventually, I took it to the workshop, and you were right. It was indeed a defective cable connection on the upstream oxygen sensor, costing me 95€ to repair.

Interesting. I have a Grandland X too. Check engine light and increased fuel consumption sound awfully familiar. Did you check the exhaust sensor? Is it reading correctly? It could be giving you a false positive on the oxygen sensor. Just a thought!
