Grandland X Preheating Lamp Issue

Good day. I'm experiencing an issue with my 2023 Vauxhall Grandland X diesel. The preheating lamp doesn't switch off, and the check engine light is now illuminated. There's also smoke when accelerating. The car has 224440 km on the clock. Could a defective cable or plug connection of the component really be the only cause?

I had a similar issue with my Grandland X. Was it the glow control unit? The symptoms sound very familiar.

Indeed, a diagnostic test pointed towards the glow control unit being defective. However, is there a chance it is something else?

In my case, the diagnostic was spot on. Considering the symptoms and the error code, I would suggest you go to the workshop.
