Grandland X Preheating Lamp Problem

I'm having some trouble with my 2023 Vauxhall Grandland X, diesel engine. It's done 46921 km. The preheating lamp doesn't switch off, and there's an error stored in the memory. I'm thinking it might be a glow plug issue?

I have a Grandland X too, though not a 2023 model. Those symptoms do sound familiar. I recall having a similar experience a while back. To be sure, does the engine seem to be misfiring, or is there a noticeable reduction in engine performance? Any unusual smoke?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't noticed any misfiring or smoke, just the persistent preheating light and the error code. What was the issue with yours when you had similar symptoms?

In my case, it turned out to be a defective glow plug, as you suspected. Given that your symptoms align with mine, and you're getting an error code, it might be prudent to have a workshop conduct a thorough diagnostic assessment. The cost to resolve the issue with the glow plug came to 440€.

Thanks a lot for your help! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I'll take it to a workshop and get it checked out. Turns out that you were right, it was a defective glow plug. All sorted now.
