Grandland X PTC Heater Fault

Yes, that sounds spot on. The engine definitely takes longer to warm up, and the cabin heat isn't as strong as it used to be, especially when I first start the car. Did you manage to solve the problem yourself, or did you take it to a workshop?

Given the symptoms and the error code pointing to the PTC heater, it does sound like a defective electric auxiliary heater. While some DIYers might attempt a replacement, I'd suggest taking it to a qualified workshop. These systems can be complex, and proper diagnosis and replacement are crucial to avoid further issues. You can expect a bill around 350€ for the heater repair including parts and labor.

Thanks a lot for the confirmation and advice! It seems like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. I appreciate you sharing your experience; it's good to have a rough estimate of the cost beforehand. I'll post again once the issue is resolved.

I had a similar issue with my Grandland X. PTC stands for Positive Temperature Coefficient. In essence, it's an electric heater used to quickly warm the passenger cabin and assist engine warm-up, especially in diesel engines. Are you experiencing longer engine warm-up times, and is the cabin heat delayed or weak on cold mornings?
