Grandland X Radio Reception Issue

I'm pulling my hair out here! I've got a 2019 Vauxhall Grandland X hybrid, and the radio reception is driving me bonkers. One minute, it's crystal clear; the next, it's like listening to a swarm of angry bees. I'm getting an error message on the infotainment system sometimes, the audio just cuts out completely, and my mechanic found some kind of error stored in the memory. Could this be a simple fix, or am I looking at a whole new audio system? My mileage is at 184409 km. Any ideas?

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 Series. Random signal loss, static noise... turned out to be a defective antenna. Have you checked the antenna ground or the antenna booster?

Antenna ground, huh? Antenna booster? Where exactly would I find those things, and how would I even know if they're the problem? Is it like when your phone loses signal in the elevator?

Yep, similar concept. Unfortunately, finding the exact location and testing them can be tricky without the right tools. With my BMW, the garage confirmed it was a defective antenna after running diagnostics. I'd suggest getting yours checked professionally to avoid causing further issues. They quoted me around 255€ for the repair.

Okay, thanks a million! Sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. Hopefully, it's just the antenna and not something more sinister. Appreciate the help!
