Grandland X Rich Mixture Issue

I retrieved error code P0201, indicating an issue with the fuel injector circuit in cylinder 1. Could this code confirm the rich mixture, or should other components be investigated before replacing the fuel injector?

Error code P0201 strongly suggests a problem with the fuel injector on cylinder 1, which could indeed lead to a rich mixture if the injector is delivering too much fuel. While it's good to check wiring and connections, the code points directly to the injector itself. Given the symptoms, I would advise getting it checked by a workshop.

Thank you for the advice. Following your recommendation, I took the vehicle to a workshop, where they confirmed the defective fuel injector in cylinder 1. The injector was replaced, resolving the rich mixture issue and associated symptoms. The repair cost 515€.

That sounds concerning. When the check engine light came on, did you retrieve the error code? Knowing that code could offer a more precise diagnosis. Have you noticed any unusual smells, like raw fuel, when the engine is running?
