Grandland X tire pressure sensor fault

My 2018 Vauxhall Grandland X diesel is showing a persistent tire pressure sensor fault at 226228 km. Symptoms are 'Tire pressure too low' warnings, an error message in the speedometer, and the fault is stored in the error memory when scanned. Could the sensor battery be the culprit? Has anyone else experienced this?

Strange, I've had similar issues with my Grandland X. Does the pressure gauge always read too low, even after you've checked and inflated the tires? Is it always the same tire, or does it jump around?

It's mostly the front passenger side, but I've seen it on the rear driver's side once. I always check the tire pressure manually, and it's spot on. You had the same random behavior?

Exactly the same! I initially suspected a slow puncture or faulty air valve, but the tire check always came back fine. In the end, it turned out to be failing sensors. I'd recommend a workshop visit.

A local garage confirmed your suspicion, and after replacing the faulty sensor, the issue is resolved. Total repair cost was 280€.
