Thanks for the quick reply! So, you had the same 'emergency mode' and warning lights? Did you also notice any slipping or grinding? And do you know if it was actually the sensor itself or the oil level causing the problem in your case?

Yeah, the emergency mode thing was the worst! Slipping a bit, but I didn't hear any grinding, to be honest. In my case, it turned out to be low oil - although the sensor was flagging up the fault. I'd say, just to be on the safe side, get it checked out by a workshop. It might be a simple fix, but better safe than sorry, especially with a hybrid!

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on - low gearbox oil. They topped it up, checked the sensor, and cleared the error. Cost me 365€, but at least it's running smoothly again!

Whoa, sounds rough! I had something kinda similar with my Grandland X – not sure what year mine is, but I recall some odd shifting and lights flashing. I'm no mechanic, but could it be a dodgy sensor or maybe something is actually impacting the oil pressure? I would suggest checking the sensor values while driving.
