Grandland X Uneven Idling Error Code

Experiencing uneven idling and an error code on my 2019 Vauxhall Grandland X Hybrid with 142075 km. Suspect it's related to the engine mount, possibly the transmission mount. Visually the mount seems fine, so I'm suspecting a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced mount failure or wear leading to vibration issues?

Summary of the thread

The 2019 Vauxhall Grandland X Hybrid is experiencing uneven idling and an error code, suspected to be related to the engine or transmission mount. Despite the mount appearing visually fine, a defective cable or plug connection is suspected. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a loose connection on the engine mount sensor, leading to the discovery of a corroded plug connection, which was cleaned and replaced, resolving the idling problem.

Hey! I've got a Grandland X as well (though not a hybrid), and I ran into similar trouble last year. Uneven idling can be super annoying! In my case, that error code pointed to the engine mount as well. Have you checked the wiring harness for any damage? Sometimes, those little guys can cause big problems!

Thanks! I was thinking the wiring harness too. I checked the visible sections, but everything seemed fine. Do you recall specifically which part of the harness was causing the issue for you? Was it near the mount itself, or somewhere else entirely? Any detail would be very appreciated!

You know, now that I think about it, I didn't dig too deep myself. Once I saw the error code and the rough idling, I just took it to the shop. They mentioned something about a loose connection on the engine mount sensor, and then it was fixed. Honestly, with hybrids and electronics, it's sometimes best to let the pros handle it. It sounds like you're on the right track with the wiring harness.

Thanks a lot! So, I followed your suggestion, scanned the engine mount sensor area, and found a corroded plug connection. Gave it a good clean, but that wasn't enough. Ended up replacing the whole connection, got the part for 95€, and now everything's smooth again. Really appreciate the help!
