GrandlandX Defective Throttle Valve

Experiencing an issue with my 2021 Vauxhall GrandlandX hybrid. I think the throttle valve is defective. Symptoms include reduced engine power and the check engine light. The car has 209476 km. I suspect it might be the accelerator pedal module or some internal electronics. Has anyone encountered something similar?

Hey, I had something similar with my GrandlandX, although I didn't check the mileage. Did you check the air flow around the throttle body? Could be a dirty throttle sensor messing with the engine idling.

Thank you for your suggestion! Could you elaborate a bit more on how you diagnosed the issue with your GrandlandX? Was the check engine light also on for you? I am not very confident with these things.

Yeah, the check engine light was on, giving me the same scare. Honestly, I took it straight to a workshop. They mentioned the throttle sensor and electronics inside. I wouldn't risk messing with it myself if you're not sure.

Appreciate the advice! I visited a local mechanic. Turns out, the throttle valve was indeed defective, just as suspected. The repair cost me around 265€. Thank you for sharing your experience!
