Interesting, thanks! I haven't checked the intake hose specifically, just had a quick look around the throttle body area. Where exactly should I be looking on the intake hose? Is it easy to spot?

For me, it was a small split in the hose, closer to where it connects to the engine. But honestly, unless you know what you're looking for, it can be tricky to find. Maybe it's best to just take it to a workshop? Could save you some headaches.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a shop, and it was indeed a leak in the intake hose. Cost me 100€ to get it sorted. Running much better now!

I also drive a GrandlandX. I had similar symptoms a while back - higher fuel consumption and that annoying hissing. Did you check the intake hose? It might have a leak. Is the hissing particularly loud when the engine is cold?
