GrandlandX key battery issues

Alright GrandlandX gurus, I'm pulling my hair out! I've got a 2023 Vauxhall GrandlandX, hybrid engine, and lately it's been throwing a fit. The car keeps telling me the key battery is low. Now my keyless entry is totally dead, there's an error message mocking me from the display, and sometimes it just refuses to unlock or lock properly. I'm guessing it's just the key fob battery needing a swap, like when your phone starts acting up because it needs charging, but has anyone else seen this?

I've had a similar issue with my GrandlandX. The 'key battery low' warning popped up, and it was indeed the key fob battery. Have you tried replacing the battery yet? That's usually the first step.

Yeah, I was planning on swapping it out myself. Just wanted to double-check if there might be something else going on before I start fiddling with tiny screwdrivers. Did yours completely die, like mine? How much did it cost you? Are there any special steps to follow, or is it just a simple battery swap, like changing batteries in a TV remote?

In my case, the key fob functionality became unreliable before failing entirely. I strongly recommend visiting a workshop to get it inspected and replaced. The cost was 37€ including error memory deletion by the workshop.

Okay, that's good to know. I'll swing by the shop as soon as possible. Thanks for the heads-up! It ended up costing me 37€ at the garage; they replaced the battery and cleared the error code. Appreciate the advice!
