GrandlandX wiper failure
Summary of the thread
The 2018 GrandlandX experienced a complete wiper failure, despite the fuse being intact, and an error was logged in the memory. The issue was suspected to be a bad connection near the steering column, possibly involving the turn signal wiring harness. After checking the cruise control and wiggling the wiper switch without success, it was advised to seek professional help. The problem was ultimately resolved at a garage, where a faulty connection on the wiper switch was repaired.

Good idea about the cruise control! Yes, cruise control is working fine. I did try wiggling the wiper switch and wiring harness, but unfortunately, nothing happened. Do you think I should keep trying myself, or should I take it to a workshop?

Okay, good to know about the cruise control. It sounds like it's isolated to the wiper circuit itself then. It could be a broken wire or a faulty wiper switch connection. But honestly, if you're not confident with electrics, and wiggling the wires didn't help, it might be best to take it to a workshop. It could save you time and frustration. I know it's a pain, but sometimes it's the best option!

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the local garage, and you were right, it was a bad connection on the wiper switch. They charged me 95€ to fix it. It's all sorted now! Thanks for the help!

No wipers at all? Does the cruise control still work? That might help narrow down if it's a bigger issue with the steering column stalk. Have you tried wiggling the wiper switch and wiring harness to see if it starts working? It’s worth trying before you investigate further!
