Groove Sunroof Coding Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Chevrolet Groove experienced sunroof issues after coding changes, causing the sunblind to get stuck and the convertible top to malfunction. The problem was suspected to be related to the coding, as similar issues were reported by others without coding involvement. The solution involved taking the vehicle to a workshop where the sunroof system was recalibrated, resolving the issue.

It does make a faint clicking sound when I try to open or close either the sunblind or the convertible top. Did yours do the same, and how did you end up fixing it? Was it also a 'Sunroof not initialized' error?

Yeah, faint clicking sounds just like mine. I never saw an error message to be honest, but the symptoms sound identical. I didn't want to mess with it myself, so I ended up taking it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly.

Thanks for the advice! Ended up taking it to a local shop. They recalibrated the sunroof system. Apparently, the coding mucked with the sunroof's initialization. Cost me 75€, but at least it's working now!

Sounds familiar. I have a Groove too. My sunblind acted up a while back – got stuck in one position. Didn't touch any coding though. Is it making any weird noises when you try to operate it?
