Thanks for the ideas. When you say 'similar adventure', what exactly happened? Did you get an error code too? Did you try fixing anything yourself before finding the problem?

Yeah, error code was there. I didn't fix it myself. I'm more of a 'let the pros handle it' kind of guy. Took it to the shop, they fixed it. I think they said it was the cable or plug connection. Probably best to let a workshop check it out. Cost me 95€.

Interesting. I have a GS too. My cruise control went on strike once. Those speed sensors can be finicky. Or maybe the steering wheel controls are acting up. Any dashboard lights? Checked the fuses? The throttle position sensor could also be the problem. Anything sound familiar?
