Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the antenna booster located, and how involved is it to check? Also, good point about the location; I'll pay closer attention to that. I'm guessing if it's the booster, I'm looking at replacing the whole unit?

The antenna booster's location can vary, but it's often near the base of the antenna or within the vehicle electronics in the rear. Given the error code you retrieved, I'd advise against immediately tearing things apart. Since the car is relatively new and the problem is consistent, it's best to consult a qualified technician. Diagnosing vehicle electronics requires specialized tools and knowledge. You may save yourself time, money, and further frustration by having them pinpoint the exact cause. They will likely also have the correct diagnostic tools to isolate the antenna or the booster.

Appreciate the advice! Took it to my trusted mechanic and turns out the antenna was indeed defective, just like I thought. Total repair cost was 255€. Thanks again for confirming I wasn't crazy!

I had a similar issue on my GS. The symptoms you describe – the error message and the dead audio – sound very familiar. Check your antenna booster, it is a small amplifier that strengthens the radio signal. The car's computer system might also be a source of problems. Have you noticed any correlation between signal strength and location? Does it get worse in areas known for poor signal?
