GT Roadster Airbag Light Rollover Sensor
Summary of the thread
The airbag warning light in a 2019 Mercedes GT Roadster indicates a rollover sensor malfunction. The issue could stem from either the sensor itself or a defective control unit. A similar case confirmed the rollover sensor module as the cause. It is recommended to have a certified Mercedes-Benz technician handle the repair to ensure the airbag system is properly restored.

SRS activation? No, just the light and the error code. You had the same error code and airbag light? Was it definitely the rollover sensor that was faulty?

Yes, the airbag warning light and the diagnostic trouble code pointed to a fault in the rollover sensor circuit. After diagnostics, the rollover sensor module was the cause. I'd advise against self-repairs. A certified Mercedes-Benz technician should restore the airbag system.

Thanks for the confirmation, that's what I suspected. The shop quoted about 1000€ to replace the airbag sensor. Pricey but worth it to get it fixed.

I had a similar issue with the airbag sensor in my GT Roadster. The airbag warning indicator and the rollover sensor malfunction error code sound familiar. Were there any instances of the vehicle triggering the supplemental restraint system unexpectedly?
