GT86 Blower Motor AUC Sensor Issue

Hey, I've got a 2015 Toyota GT86 with a gasoline engine, and I'm having a weird issue. My blower motor isn't working, and after some digging, I suspect it's the AUC (automatic air recirculation) sensor. I'm thinking it might be a faulty cable or plug connection. Anyone else run into this?

Interesting. I had a similar climate control problem with my old 2012 Opel Astra. The air conditioning sensor was throwing codes, and the symptoms were all over the place. Have you checked the wiring harness for any signs of damage or corrosion?

Thanks for the tip! I'll double-check the wiring harness. When you say 'all over the place,' what exactly do you mean? Was your blower motor also affected?

Yes, the blower motor was definitely affected in my Astra. Sometimes it wouldn't turn on at all, other times it would run at full blast regardless of the settings. Given your symptoms and the sensor you suspect, it might be best to get it checked at a workshop. Could be a simple fix, but better safe than sorry.

Thanks, appreciate the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right – it was a defective plug connection on the AUC sensor. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Everything's working fine now.
