GT86 Engine Light and Exhaust Smell

I've got a 2015 Toyota GT86 with a gasoline engine and a weird issue. The check engine light is on, and the engine is running rough. I also smell a strong exhaust and notice some leaking. I've only done 28774 km. Could it be the EGR valve or the catalytic converter?

I had something similar with my GT86. Engine light and a weird smell. Maybe it's the lambda sensor? I'm not sure, but did you check the exhaust pipe?

Lambda sensor, huh? Where exactly is that located, and what kind of symptoms did you have before it got really bad?

Yeah, lambda sensor. I'm no expert, but I remember the smell getting worse, and the engine light stayed on. I ended up taking mine to a workshop. Maybe it's better to get it checked?
