Thanks for the tip! So, did cleaning the throttle body solve the problem for you? Or did you have to replace the throttle position sensor? How can I check the throttle position sensor? Any advice on how to get to the throttle body? I'm not a mechanic, so I'm a bit nervous about messing things up!

While cleaning the throttle body might help as a temporary fix, in my case, the root cause was indeed the accelerator pedal module. The symptoms kept returning until I replaced it. Considering your novice expertise, I'd strongly suggest taking it to a reputable workshop. They can properly diagnose the issue and replace the module. Messing with the control valve without proper knowledge can lead to bigger problems.

Thanks a bunch for your help! I took your advice and went to a workshop. Turns out, you were right! It was the accelerator pedal module. They replaced it, and the car is running perfectly now. The final repair cost was 205€. Really appreciate the advice!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my GT86. Higher fuel consumption and poor starting are classic symptoms. Have you checked the throttle position sensor or given the throttle body a good cleaning? Might be worth investigating the air intake too, just to rule out any blockages.
