GT86 Reduced Engine Power
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Toyota GT86 is experiencing reduced engine power, a check engine light, rough running, jerking during acceleration, and occasional stalling at idle. The issue could be related to the oxygen sensor or spark plugs. However, an error code indicating a mixture preparation error suggests a potential fuel-related problem. The solution involved repairing a defective injection valve/injector, resolving the issue.

The error code points to a mixture preparation error. Does that fit with what you experienced? Is there anything else I can test?

Ah, a mixture preparation error. That wasn't exactly the code I had, but it does sound like it could be fuel-related. In my case, the dealer confirmed it was fuel injection problem. If your error code is solid, it might be best to take it to a trusted workshop before you cause more damage.

Thanks for the advice. It was indeed the injection valve/injector defective and I had it repaired for 515€. Hopefully, that's the end of it.

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my old 2012 BMW 3 Series, although without the stalling. The check engine light could mean a lot of things. Have you checked for any error codes? Could also be related to the catalytic converter or even the throttle body. What does the error code say?
