Completely random, as far as I can tell. No rhyme or reason. Did you ever figure out what was causing that issue on your BMW?

Eventually, yes. In my case, it turned out to be a defective cable connection to one of the main control units, specifically the BUS system connection. It sounds eerily similar to what you're describing. I would suggest taking it to a reputable workshop.

Thanks, that's incredibly helpful. I'll get it checked out ASAP. It was indeed a defective cable connection to the control unit, just like you said! Repair cost me 155€. Appreciate the advice!

I had similar issues with my 2019 BMW 5 series. Sporadic errors, systems going offline... frustrating, right? Did the errors seem to correlate with anything specific, like bumps in the road, or were they completely random?
