GTR Tire Pressure ABS Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Nissan GTR owner experienced persistent low tire pressure warnings, despite proper inflation, along with ABS light activation and steering issues. These symptoms suggested a potential faulty tire sensor, possibly affecting the ABS and power steering systems. A diagnostic scan at a workshop confirmed a defective tire valve, which, once replaced, resolved the issues.

I haven't checked the sensor itself, no. To be honest, I wouldn't even know where to start. I was hoping it was just a simple case of needing air. Is there a way to test the tire sensor without special equipment?

Based on your description and the symptoms you are experiencing, particularly the ABS and power steering issues alongside the tire pressure warning, it is highly probable the valve in your tire is defective. While there are methods to test sensors independently, given the interconnected nature of these systems in modern vehicles, a diagnostic scan at a qualified workshop is advisable. It is possible the faulty sensor is disrupting the ABS and, subsequently, impacting the power steering. I recommend against attempting self-diagnosis beyond visual inspection of the tires.

I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a defective tire valve causing all the issues. They replaced it, and everything is back to normal. Cost me around 280€ for the repair. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen with my GTR. I remember the tire pressure light being on constantly despite the tires being properly inflated. The tire monitoring system in these cars can be a bit sensitive. Did you happen to check the tire sensor itself, or just relied on inflating the tires to the correct pressure?
