GX Hybrid Parking Brake Failure

My 2023 Lexus GX Hybrid is showing some strange behavior. The electronic parking brake is completely unresponsive, and I'm getting a warning light on the dash. The error memory has also stored a fault. Anyone else seen this before? Mileage is around 28k km.

Whoa, that sounds worrying! Was it working fine just before, or did it start gradually? I once had a brake fault on my old car that turned out to be a simple brake switch issue. Have you checked that?

It was working fine, then nothing. Where is the brake switch located? Is it difficult to check it by myself?

Okay, that's not great. The switch location depends, but honestly with a new hybrid and the parking brake completely failing, it sounds more serious. I'd guess it's the motor within the calliper that is defective, and I think you should go straight to a workshop!

Thanks for the advice! I'll get it checked out by a professional. The error code suggests the electric motor in brake calliper defective is the problem, repair will be around 505€.
