GX transmission warning lights
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Lexus GX Hybrid was experiencing engine and transmission warning lights, with error codes indicating a transmission oil pressure sensor fault. The vehicle exhibited symptoms like gearbox slipping, rough shifting, and occasional grinding noises, sometimes entering emergency mode. The issue was resolved by checking and topping off the gearbox oil, which eliminated the warning lights and restored smooth shifting.

Where exactly is the gearbox oil level check? Never done that before, and don't want to mess anything up.

Well, I'm no expert, but in my case, low oil was definitely the culprit. But I still suggest you bring it to a workshop, or at least check a video tutorial. You don't want to mess with the transmission.

Thanks! Turns out the gearbox oil was indeed low. Topped it off, and the warning lights are gone. Shifts smoothly now. Cost me 365€ for a full oil change and sensor check.

Oh, that sounds frustrating! I've got a GX too and had a similar issue last year. Check your gearbox oil level first. Seriously, it could be something simple.
