GX Uneven Idle Error
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Lexus GX with a gasoline engine is experiencing uneven idle and an error code, possibly due to a bad cable or plug connection. The issue might also be related to a defective engine or transmission mount, which can cause vibrations affecting engine sensors. After consulting a workshop, it was confirmed that a defective engine mount was the cause, and a repair was initiated.

Interesting! I haven't checked the transmission mount yet. Just focused on the engine mounts. The shaking... yeah, it's probably a bit more than usual. Where exactly should I be looking on the transmission mount? Anything specific I should look for?

On my Volvo, the mount was visibly cracked and worn. I'd say get it checked out by a workshop if you aren't sure what you are looking at. Better safe than sorry. Could prevent bigger issues later on.

Thanks! I took your advice and went to a workshop. Turns out it was a defective engine mount. They quoted me 95€ for the repair. Getting it fixed now!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had a similar wonky idle and a mysterious error code on my old Volvo V70. Did you check the transmission mount too? Sometimes a bad mount can cause vibrations that throw off the engine's sensors. Is it shaking more than usual?
