H1 Central Locking Failure
Summary of the thread
The central locking system on a 2003 Hyundai H1 diesel has completely failed, with the key fob non-functional and an error stored. Possible causes include a defective cable, plug, or blown fuse. A suggested solution is to check the central locking fuses and listen for relay clicks, but a workshop visit is recommended for proper diagnosis and repair.

Thanks. No clicking sounds, which worries me. I visually checked the fuses, but not sure which one controls the central locking. Is there a specific fuse number or location? Could it be blown even if it looks okay?

Visual inspection is a start, but fuses can be tricky. Without specialized equipment or diagrams, it's hard to pinpoint the cause. Given the symptoms and cable suspicion, I'd recommend a workshop for proper diagnosis. They can read error codes and trace wiring. Cost me 95€ to repair.

Thanks for sharing your experience and the workshop suggestion. Seems like a mechanic is the best bet. I'll post the diagnosis and what fixed it from the workshop. Fingers crossed it's not too expensive.

I had a similar problem with my H1. Do you hear clicking from the fuse box when you use the key fob? That might be a relay. Have you checked the central locking fuses? Worth a look before assuming it's a big electrical issue. Let me know.
